As Co-CEO of Raintree Partners, Mr. Check plays a central role in driving the firm’s day-to-day operations and strategic direction. Since the company’s inception in late 2007, he has been instrumental in its growth and success. Mr. Check leads the firm’s land acquisition, entitlement, and construction efforts, and is responsible for shaping and executing Raintree Partners’ overall investment and development strategy.

Prior to the formation of Raintree Partners in 2007, Mr. Check worked with The Picerne Group, a Southern California-based multifamily investment and development firm with projects across the western United States. Early in his career, he served as a project engineer at Langan Engineering in Manhattan, where he specialized in residential high-rise and mixed-use developments in New York City.

Mr. Check holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute, where he serves on the leadership committee for the Small-Scale Development Product Council (SSDC). In addition, he is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Coastal San Diego chapter.
